Pumpkin Fog Latte

I love a good morning drink, more so I love festive morning drink with the perfect kick of caffeine. I always keep my eyes peeled for the peppermint mocha creamer to show up in stores and I think by now I have established my love for anything involving pumpkin spice. In my search for my new fall drink as part of my Fall Bucket List list I happened upon the Pumpkin Fog Latte. I had to play around with it a bit but I finally figured out a recipe that works for me:

Modern Simple Minimalist Negroni Recipe Card

How-To:

Step 1: Boil your water and steep your tea bags for 5 minutes (I know this is real because I ordered a London Fog twice and the Starbucks baristas had to set a timer and apologize it was taking so long and I never did it again because I felt bad.). I always go for two because I like the tea flavor to come through, just do one if that is not your game.

(Side note: I hate hot drinks so I never steam my milk. And I know that is a prerequisite for a latte but I just can't do it. If you are a staunch rule follower or simply like the taste, steam milk for this.)

Step 2: Toss the tea bags, then combine your milk, your tea, and your pumpkin syrup.

Step 3: Mix it all up- I'm a milk frother man but you do what works for you.

Step 4: For me I let it cool off on the counter and drop an ice cube in on my way out the door. If you're a hot drink girly, skip this step.

Step 5: Enjoy!

Now listen, I was skeptical at first- London Fog Lattes are top tier and the thought of putting pumpkin syrup with Earl Grey tea just sounded off-putting to me. Luckily, I was wrong. This is a very light morning pick-me-up that tastes like a slice of pumpkin pie. I think this has been my new go-to the last week because it's just so damn easy. I can steep the tea while I'm getting ready, quickly mix in the ingredients, then let it cool on the counter and grab it on my way out the door. What are some of your favorite drinks that get you through the fall season?
